It could open a can of worms couldn't it.
But I can certainly see how a woman who has been mentally tortured for years by her husband and then one day just lashes out and sticks a bread knife in him shouldn't be done for murder as it stands. There needs to be a middle ground that she can be accused of. |

I couldn't agree more.
Where is the line now going to be drawn between charges of murder and manslaughter?
People will just claim that they were victims of abuse to get the lesser charge. Who will oppose them?
