I was very disappointed in the episode yesterday. Everything I feared happen did! The episode was boring until the end I thought as well.

Izzie is ridiculous, treating a fucking deer back to life? Is that what we've come to? Then she refers herself as Bambi had a good laugh at that.

Callie and Bailey remain strong characters. Christina is growing on me as well. There was almost no sight of Alex all episode. angry

George is as useless as always. i just don't like his character, and now in the previews it looks like he is leaving Cally! No. He is just so lifeless. Meredith continues to be a bitch. This time to her stepsister. For a lead character she is just so unlikable to me.

That's just Izzie though - I would do exactly the same. I hate Izzie's interns! (You were very harsh on Izzie there, Spur. Feel bad!)

Also, I would probably act the same way as Mer did to Lexie. I don't like Lexie. Who does she think she is flirting with Derek in a bar, anyway! All those new interns are annoying!

No! I can't believe we are back on the Mer/Der merry-go-round. I can't go through this again. Just let them be happy! Derek loves her. She needs to sort herself out. Seriously! Did you notice how they didn't say seriously once in that whole episode? They must have dropped it.

It looks like Gizzie is now happening after he declared his love for her at the end of the episode. Callie is in for a rough time this season, both at work and in her personal life, it seems.

They've just killed the character of Alex by making him fall for Rebecca. Sloane doesn't really seem to have a role anymore. Too many newbies.

I actually did enjoy it though - I thought it was a pretty good first episode.

Ehh, I never really got into it. My mind kept wandering to the homework I should have been doing. The Mer/Der thing is sickening now, either break up or don't. Stay away from the fuzzy crap. I wanted more Alex too, he is sooo underused. He should get with Izzie, I was always a fan of them. Drop that Rebecca one, she's trouble. There was also too much George, I'm actually on the verge of fast forwarding through all scenes involving him. I did like Izzie though, she's too involved and that's what most of her storylines are about. I don't like her interns though, they're a bit like Christina. Speaking of Christina, she was interesting! I'm enjoying her post Burke. As much as I liked him, I think Christina is better without him. It was an ok episode overall, weird without Addy or Burke but still, I got through it.

^ I'm preferring Christina post-Burke too. I've never liked her character, but maybe she'll grow on me this year.

Too much George - I agree. When will they realise that we just don't really like his character. I wonder if he's popular amongst most Grey's fans, and it's just us three that don't see his appeal.

Izzie and Alex should definitely hook up again. They were hot together. I guess its more believable if he actually gets together with someone outside of work though - they're all terrible for dating each other!

As for George it is just not us 3 who do not like his character. I have a number of friends who watch it bothe genders and noone can stand him. He is just not a good actor, or his character is just that bad either way he needs far less screen time.

As for Izzie she picked the wrong career path. She is too emotionally attached to things to be a doctor. She should have stuck to modeling! tongue

^ Maybe she should have been a vet instead! She has great compassion, unlike some!

I think Izzie could do the modeling thing! I mean look how emotional and highly strung she gets. She'd give any of the ones of Next Top Model a run for their money.

Woops. It always does that after I fix my profile. Fixed now though. Although I'd prefer to be an Argentinian fan at the moment now.

I haven't watched this weeks yet (have it downloaded though), but it looks like there could be a new lady on the scene soon for McDreamy. I suppose when this happens, Meredith will decide that she really wants to be with him.

Quote:
'Grey's Anatomy' is getting a new character in the fourth series.

The Hollywood Reporter says that actress Lauren Stamile has been cast in a major recurring role opposite Patrick Dempsey (Dr Derek Shepherd) in the hit medical drama.

The trade daily says that the producers of the show are keeping quiet on whether there will be onscreen romance between their two characters.

Stamile has previously appeared in 'CSI: NY', 'Criminal Minds' and 'Boston Legal'.

I'll try to watch it tonight after Californication, and post up. I haven't seen this weeks Private Practice yet either.

I think I'm going to have a tough time keeping up with all these shows.

One of them may have to be dropped!

I missed Private Practice as well. My Tv has been set up now though, so I shouldn't miss any from now on! Although I have 3 football only channels now so I find it hard to resist a footie match. i may cut a show or two as well but I could never decide!

I saw it, it wasn't bad.

Callie is starting to crack from the Chief resident job and she has it sussed that George is cheating on her with Izzie. Izzie and George were debating all episode when to tell her but at the end she made it obvious that she already knew.

The patient bit was a crystal meth lab explosion. This couple had one in their apartment and their toddler was exposed. Alex got pissed with the Dad and the Dad floored him. Bailey gave out to Alex and got an outlet for her pent up mothering.

Mama Burke showed up and Christina avoided her all day until finally they talked. Mama Burke took the rest of Burke's things and all of the wedding presents when Christina asked her.Christina looked grievous at the end when she came home to the practically empty apartment.

Lexie tried to talk to Meredith all day but she kept avoiding her until Meredith finally told her to buzz off and get out of her face. The episode ended with Lexie crying. Meredith and Derek were going through the 'breakup' thing and Derek realised that he deserved better than the way Meredith was treating him but couldn't handle breaking up with her. Derek and Mark also got really pally and have gotten close again.

So in a nutshell
- Not a lot of George, that was a plus
- Lots of Alex, another plus
- Christina being interesting, plus

The goods outweighed the bads and there were storylines other than Gizzie so it was a good episode!

Damn, it figures I miss the episode that is Alex-centric. Thanks for the synopsis mate! Was their any mention of Alex' love interest from last season (her name eludes me). I wonder if that storyline is going anywhere?

Nice to see Meredith still being a major beotch. Lexi shouldn't even bother with her.

No nothing of Ava it was more Alex/Bailey. Mer was being a total beotch throughout the episode and I felt sorry for Lexie in the end. I thought I would miss Burke more than I am but in fairness they are getting on without him.

^ I think Meredith was mean to Lexie, but Lexie just annoys me, so I don't care! Meredith is being really totally selfish towards Derek though. He loves her. She shouldn't string him along like this - she should just tell him its over and leave it at that!

I thought Karev rocked in this episode!

I wonder if George is going to tell Callie - its obvious she actually knows, but won't let him tell her!

For me, Christina is working a lot better this year without Burke, so thats one good thing that has come from Washington leaving the show.
