In a realistic world, which players do you think that your team should target this summer and why?
I know that we'd all love Kaka, but the likelyhood of him moving is pretty zip, plus would he really go to Wigan???!!!

| Well it still seems probable we will lose Keane and Berba, so I think going for the two Russians (Arshavin & Pavyuchenko) would be a good move. They seem to have a good understanding with one another, so it wouldn't take them as long to settle. Also a DM is needed Diarra would be nice but probably wishful thinking. CB as well but their just doesn't seem too much quality out there to buy? Top 4 looks a pipe dream again. |

Now we sell 4 useful players to Sunderland. I don't know what the fuck the board is doing now honestly? We sold off some decent players and we are still left holding the garbage bag with a bunch of shit players we NEED to get rid of. Not even taking into account the probable departures of RK and Berba. Just about 2.5 weeks til season and we are looking awfully thin of class players now.
Fair play to Sunderland, funky you are getting some good players Steed and Tainio especially I will miss. Kaboul should be good eventually as well. |

I'd like to see Leeds buy Luke Westwood from Carlisle - he really impressed me last year, especially in the Playoff Semi finals and Casper can be a bit flakey at times.
I'd like to see Leeds get back Dougie Freedman (although he looks likely to stay at Crystal Palace) as we'll be definately weaker up front without him.
I'd like to see Gary Speed come back to Leeds as assistant manager/player to give a bit of structure/experience to our midfield. If we can't get Speed then another experienced midfielder would do... |

| Westwood did look good in the playoffs when I saw him. ALso Dpeed in League 1 would be class for sure. I don't see how Leeds don't go up this year really. |

Yeah currently we have Chimbonda and Tainio with Malbranque and Kaboul humming and harring over things.
I would be happy with all 4 to be honest. We are desperate for experienced HIGH QUALITY premiership players and three of those dudes meet that criteria.
I watched Tainio last night in his debut against Ramblers in Ireland and he was very classy. I like him!
I'm also happy with the Djouf signing he is a quality player and will bring a lot to the team. I do have to say I despise him as a person with all that spitting though, he's an odious little fuck lol. BW fans loved him apparently! |

| ^ Funky Keane is doing a job for you. Where do you think you can finish? I think comfortably mid-table maybe higher with some luck. |

| I'd love Sunderland to finish above Newcastle.... I've got a few Geordie mates that that would really upset! |

Yeah Keane is doing a good job, he is selecting new players very wisely. he did the bizarre thing last night of making the team play with 10 men against Forest for the last 15 minutes to get them used to the scenario lol! SAFC won 1-0, apparently the players gave him grief over it after the game in a joking sort of way lol.
I can see Sunderland improving slightly on last year, they should with the current squad. Keane has been quoted as saying he is challenging for Europe. Whilst I love his attitude I think its unlikely lol. A mid table birth with no relegation worries would be great!
Jonny I'd love Sunderland to finish above Newcastle, we almost did it last year with an inferior squad so I actually think we might pull it off this year. Newcastle seriously need to pull their finger out in the transfer market or they will suffer again. |

| ^ I would say if you get Saha you will surely be ahead of Newcastle. Jones and Saha when healthy could be deadly. I kind of like what Keane did in that match never heard of it. Do you guys have a bunch of cheats that he expects to get sent off? lol |

^ lol I know! What the hell is he planning this season??
We tried kicking everyone off the park when Peter Reid was in charge and it only worked for a season or two!
If Saha can stay fit over a season he will be a great buy but I think that's unlikely. Saying that, he is still good for double figures even with his customary 3 month worth of injuries which would beat our current crop of forwards. We haven't got him yet though! |

| Well Stoke so far have signed Olofinjana, Kitson and Sorensen. Amdy Faye from Charlton is having a trial after being at rangers on loan all last season. They are also in major talks with Valencia with a view to taking Zigic on a seasons loan, if they can get him he will be a bit of a handful at 6 foot 7 inches! |

^Fulop is gutted you didn't take him over Sorensen.
I think Sorensen is probably the better keeper, when he was at Sunderland I thought he was going to be one of the best keepers in the world eventually. He hasn't quite reached that level but is still a top keeper. |

Mav I think Zigic would fit in very well with your style of play, that would be a top signing.
So Berba finally appears to be off. I don't know what Ramos and Levy are planning but it better be something in the cards. We are heading to Boro with one striker in Bent! Apparently we are keen on these Russians still but they seem overpriced for me. I wish Berba would have left earlier cuz we are gonna be stuck holding the bag!
