Cop showsAnyone a fan of these type of programs?
I am a total addict to cop shows in particular, I love The Bill, Silent Witness, Prime Suspect, Cracker, Dalziel and Pascoe, Messiah, Wire in the Blood, Waking the Dead, The Commander, Trial and Retribution and I am sure there are more.
I wish Robbie Coltrane would do another series of Cracker, he was brilliant in that role and one of the earlier series was when I first saw Robert Carlyle, he was evil in that program.

I do like my cop shows but I'm very specific in the style and genre.
I only like sluth/murder mystery type ones with Sherlock Homes being my fave. I'm not into The Bill (it's a soap) or anything where there is lots of sliding around on car bonnets shooting guns unless of course it's either The Sweeney or Starsky & Hutch then it's allowed.

^Oh I'm a big fan of Sherlock Holmes too Funky, my favourite being Jeremy Brett playing the character.

^Yeah he is superb and has got him spot on. I want the full collection on DVD but cant justify spending 80 odd snots on it as I have a lot on VHS already.
My second fave Sherlock for very different reasons is Basil Rathbone in the old 30's Hollywood series. I like these because Watson played by Nigel Bruce cracks me up. Not very true to the original characters but enjoyable!

^Oh yeah Basil Rathbone was a great Sherlock too! I was going to buy the boxset, I am waiting until the price comes right down, when I first looked for it the price was over £100 so £80 is a good sign it may eventually drop further!
Another one I like are the Inspector Lindley mysteries, oh and Frost.

Hate the Bill for the same reasons as Funky and the show descended into mediocrity when Burnside left. Dalziel and Pascoe, Morse, Frost, Sherlock Holmes, Waking The Dead are all excellent shows. Messiah with Ken Stott was truly awesome but I'll reserve judgement on Marc Warren until I've seen the new series.
I'm also a fan of US shows like CSI, NCIS and Law and Order-Special Victims Unit.

^I actually like Marc Warren as an actor and I'm glad that if they had to choose another actor instead of Ken Stott, they chose someone familiar. Lets hope he does the role justice!

I like CSI and Cold Case. Waking the Dead is another favourite. I like my cop shows to have a bit of mystery about them.
