Fight!Just wondering have any of you on DL been in any physical altercations? I don't think we have touched this subject. Any good stories?
I have been in a few as I used to hang out with a boy that would love to fight and it was very annoying. He gave everyone else a guilty name by association. Finally I said enough is enough with him.
The most recent was when that guy coldcock punched me because he said I was hitting on his gf. It was pretty one sided as before I knew what happened my mates and bouncer were being pulled back. I was but in my defense she initiated it and I had no clue she was there with a bf. Stupid tart.
So any good stories?

I always (well most fo the time) manage to talk my way out of any situations. Plenty of rows at school and have witnessed some mad kickings at the footy especially in the 80's. But my 'I'm a lover not a fighter' (think Yorkshire accent) attitude normally wins the day.

I don't think I've ever had a fight in my life. I'm waay too much of a coward. I can have a good row, but if it looked like things might get physical I'm likely to run in the opposite direction. Lol. I did get beaten up once at Primary School though!

I'm generally a pacifist, by nature. Fights should be the last resort if common sense and reasoning fail with the other person. But you know (hopefully) what Tyler Durden Said "How much can you know about yourself, if you've never been in a fight?"

There's quite a lot of fights in our school actually. Mostly between first and second years. that pubescent burst of testosterone can be widespread. We're not the worst school for it though, you should see St. Clement's. Jaysus I've seen videos of the stuff that goes on there and it's really awful. Guys kicking each others heads in.
I've never been in any physical fights, none that I can remember anyway, there are always the odd few from primary but generally I don't tend to piss people off.

Good topic my trans Atlantic alcoholic womanising cuz!
I've had a few scrapes in my time but not for along time. Like Bry I also hung out with a guy that really liked to fight and he had a reputation as one of the hardest in our town. Obviously a lot of people liked to see how tough he was and a few of my friends and I were normally left to pick up (or pick off) the pieces during these altercations.
The worst things I have seen are people being glassed which I have never been involved with but have seen at close hand, totally barbaric! If you're going to fight at least use your hands!
The worst thing I have done was not technically a fight and I think I've mentioned this before very early on at DL. I once caught up to a guy after a 10 minute chase who had nicked the stereo out of my car in the wee small hours of the morning. He had a big carrier bag of car stereos (well there were 3 in there I later saw). Anyway I took hammer to his back (I know I just said use your hands but this was theft lol!) as he ran away from me and whilst he didn't stop running there was a pleasing red patch growing on the back of his shirt as he ran away.
I'd do it again in a second if it happened again!

Nothing to report here on that front. Just never really seem to put myself in those sort of situations.

^This one isn't a joke mate lol.
It's not big or clever I know! But some things have to be done! I was living at my parents still at the time.
The hammer was the first thing I grabbed under the stairs that felt like it would do some damage as my car alarm went off.

erm.....what about that time Bunnyboo got you into a headlock and ran you into the window sill?
I've had a couple of small fights, nothing really serious though. One of them, strangely enough, also involved Bunnyboo. I was feeling all hormonal one night, and I swear to god, she looked at me funny. Words were spoken, voices were raised, and I ended up chasing her down the road at 11.30pm ish and pinning her agianst the wall by her throat.

^I've had a few fights in my youth with my younger sister, there is only two years between us and we really just didn't see eye to eye at all, although if anyone else picked on her I always bailed her out even when it was her fault for not keeping schtum!

Hormones alas women's favourite excuse there. To be honest in no way should grabbing by the throat over just a funny look acceptable especially as its family.
Sure we have scuffles with family but iver never physically threateded someone especially over a funny look i just say 'Fuck you' (Imagine how it is when im wearing my turkey hat!!)
And id certainly not blame the testosterone lol
Nah just kidding, ive been beaten up twice when i was a kid and always by a gang who were older than me fucking spivs!

Oh yeah, that too. Beat up by my younger sister, how sad and embarrassing! She shit herself when the blood began to run down my face though, as did I for that matter ha ha! You two are most definitely the violent ones out of the four of us LOL! And I mean that in the nicest possible way so please don't get me when I'm round for coffee later......

I would say at a Villa v Chelsea game in the early 80's when during the game there were fights going off in the away end where the nutters from the C - Crew (one of Villas hooligan firms at the time) just ran in a kicked off. During that game some bright spark in the Chelsea end decided that firing a flare into the Holte End would be a good idea...it flew over my head and into some poor person behind us.
After the game it was a running battle between the thugs with peoples heads being jumped on etc...
The worst beating I witnessed was a Villa v Everton game where one poor scouse lad was jumped on by about 7 or 8 really brave villa hooligans and punched/kicked him within an inch of his life.
Funniest I have ever seen was at an Arsenal v Villa game when we were outside a pub in Highbury and it went off between Villa fans!! It was hilarious watching fans of the same club (Albeit my club) kicking seven bells out of each other.

That is great I saw one of those this year as well tailgating for the Browns v Pittsburgh game a huge brawl kicked off between two sets of Browns fans I never thought I would see that. In the end though one of the guys brought a girl in a Steelers shirt and obviously when insults started to fly at her that is when things kicked off.

Well, i was playing tag rugby at lunch today (our lunch area is tarmac) and i tagged a fella, and then i got a punch in the face. Right cheek to be precise, and his reason, i looked at him funny, oh a classic. Maybe a push wouldn't be too unexpected because tempers do flare, but to be perfectly honest i was not expecting it.

not ever really fought anyone myself but have become indirectly involved in one fight which happened outside my old work pizza hut. Me and two other guys who were managers were closing up about midnight and leaving when a fight was going on outside asda next door. It was basically one guy against another guy over a girl but one had about 5 friends with him so everytime the guy on his own starting winning or tried to leave, the friends would pile in and he was getting his ass kicked.
In the end the guy ran behind me and the other 2 from pizza hut and luckily we are all pretty big guys so we didn't do a lot, just stood there as they tried to convince us to move. They tried to push past us and there was a scuffle but it wasn't much and asda staff had called the police so they turned up and the gang scattered and ran
thats my only real experience of a fight but i didn't get hurt or throw any punches so it wasn't a particularly good one
