Hangover preventions and cures. What are yours?
I've had some godawful hangovers lately - that Jaegerbomb one being the worst in a few years. I'm expecting a few more over the holiday season!
As a preventative measure I try to drink a pint of water and take two anadin before I go to bed, but it doesn't usually happen. Does anyone use those hangover 'cures' like Verve etc that you can add to water? I tried that one last year and it really works.
Next day, I usually eat salt & vinegar crisps, drink lucozade, and then when I'm feeling up to it, order a pizza. My hangover cure/food is not very healthy!

^I don't think any hangover cure food is healthy, I tend to want starchy food once I stop feeling sick, usually have a slice of toast first though to test the stomach can take food!

The best hangover cure I know of is not to get drunk in the first place. Failing that, banana's are meant are good for it as they are full of potassium.

Lately I have been mixing in some waters throughout the night of drinking. I will never remember once I get home to drink the water so I do it earlier in the night and it seems to help. The day after I like to get McDonald's or pizza. The grease is the best cure for a hangover. Another thing which always works but is not very healthy is to eat something right before you go to bed. It helps coat the stomach which was otherwise filled with straight booze!

The best way to avoid hangovers is to keep drinking!
My only other trick that works is a preventative one and it's taking two paracetamols with a glass of water before bed, it does the trick everytime!
Note: Not any old pain killer works it has to be a paracetamol as they contain a blood thinning agent that aids circulation and regeneration of oxygenated blood, and as everyone knows a hang over is caused by lack of oxygen in your blood from pissing it all out the night before.

Usually alot of water does the trick for me as drink makes you dehydrated so replenishing fluids is a vital must if you are to prevent a hangover. I drink 2 glasses before bed and walla ive never had a hangover so it muct work!

Courtesy of our good friend Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milk_thistle. She said you can get it in most chemists, and that it is the best hangover cure ever. You just put a few drops into a glass of water before bed. It does say on Wiki that its used to treat pretty major liver illnesses, so I'd say a few drops will do! I'll have a look for it next time I'm in town.

That's definitely the best way to go. I drink tons of water when I get back from a drinking session, but generally I'm not keen on the taste of most alcohol and only really drink socially so I'm not drunk often

I just got some of that Milk Thistle in Boots, so I'll let you all know if it works. It says on the bottle that your meant to take it three times a day every day though, so I'm not sure how it will work as a one off hangover cure, but we'll see! I promise to test it out! lol!
