Clinical Depression is growing in increasingly worrying numbers these days, having a niave attitude (Sorry if you find that offensive but thats what i percieve it as) that Teenagers have nothing to worry about doesn't help at all. Teenagers have too much pressure on them from teachers at underachieving schools to do well to keep them (The teachers) in jobs etc. Also the fact that music thesedays is becoming scarily more and more brutal (Cant think of any other words) lyrically with music that appeals to teenagers can't help either. Bands like MCR and Panic at the Disco dont help by singing about 'teenage harships' and then giving off the impression that suicide and self harm is cool.

The above lyric suggests that taking drugs is a way to fix emotional pain. What is wrong with music these days is instead of music which is a staple part of any teenagers life (Its a massive part in mine anyway) Lyrics are giving out uber negative messages instead of more positive ones. Not saying that the occasional negative bunch of lyrics are awful, because sometimes their needed but at the moment they're becoming far too prominent in 'Main stream' music.

So what have teenagers got to worry about?
Their lives, future, schoolwork, friends,family, girlfriends/boyfriends and who they turn to for help.

I find it so sad and disturbing that people so young, with their whole lives ahead of them and the promise of the future, would feel the need to take such drastic action. What a complete waste of life.
