Little Britain star Matt Lucas has split from his partner, Kevin McGee, 18 months after "marrying" in a civil partnership ceremony.

They are the first celebrity gay couple to separate following a civil partnership and could prove a test case for gay "divorces", with McGee, a television researcher, entitled to a slice of Lucas's considerable fortune.

I wonder how many gay 'married' couples have got one eye on how this turns out?

It had to happen sooner or later.

It will be interesting to see how it turns out, I guess legally if there isn't a pre-nup then it will be the same as 'normal' marriages.
David Furnish stands to make a few quid out of his divorce with Elton John if it ever happens that's for sure! Not that Furnish didn't have a few bob to begin with.
