Muslim M&S worker refuses to sell 'unclean' BibleFull Story - here
This country has gone to hell in a hand basket. The staff member should be sacked and deported as soon as possible.

How disgraceful. She seems to have thought that as a Muslim she has a right to do that sort of thing. If it was the same situation reversed in a Muslim country she would probably be shot.

^ Could she not have put gloves on so as not to insult our religion and the customer, I have to say Lou we have many nationalities working at Sainsburys and I have yet to find one of them that is rude or throw insults to anyone.

thats horrible that poor woman must have thought she had done something really bad for the cashier to react in such a way if that had happened to me i would have majorly kicked off and probably have been escorted off the premises

So let me get this straight. Muslim is the only religon in the world now?
Im really sick of this crap now. Why is it that it ok to rip into chritianity but nooo no one can say anything against Muslim? the extrmeist assholes who threaten to blow everyone to bits because they see there way as right and no one elses that they can threaten peoples safty and fun. (the dakar rally canceled du to this reason) and then you have these people who refuse to touch a book because its unclean? No dear your attitude is. Put simply Relgeon is suppose to be respecting each other and forgiving of sins etc. Not my religon is better than yours. Im really do think that some people have there head so far up there backsides they just think there all right, well your not. shut up grow up.
Also the fact being its M&S that cop the unfair blame because of her so self importantness. Its "i wont shop at m&s again" Not !screw going to that stupid cow again"
Thank god i dont have a god...

Basically I think she should be disiplined and nothing else (she has only refused to do her job after all),
Unfortunately then the race card will be used and nothing will happen so shes got away with what could also be seen as a racist action in itself (imagine if it was the other way round).
We are now rapidly coming to the cross roads as far as this country goes, we can not carry on going down this route of one rule for one group and another for another.

At the end of the day the bible is only a book like the koran so I cant see what the problem is to be honest. I could have probably understood it if she was expected to serve pork of some description.

I agree with your first sentence Mav, but disagree with your second.
If you apply for a job that entails serving Pork, you should expect to serve it, else don't apply for the job.
This goes for any pork, not just M&S pork!
If I refused to interact with children I wouldn't apply for a job ads a primary school teacher
