Mutu owes Chelsea 9 million pounds!I was shocked when I saw this story. Apparently a court has ordered Adrian Mutu to pay Chelsea 9m for when he tested positive for cocaine missing 7 months of game action. I don't want to dismiss what he did but that seems very harsh! I mean every signing is a gamble what player can be made to pick up that chunk of money to pay a club.

They shipped him off to Italy, he actually had a great year for Fiorentina this past year. i wouldn't be surprised if Milan came in for him.

^ I don't see how they can do this? It seems very backwards to me. I can see fining him over his wages but his transfer fee should come back on the club who sold him not Mutu himself. Obviously he is appealing. If that were the case here in the NFL half the players would be broke! They are all potheads

I heard that it was a sporting tribunal who came up with this decision so I expect it will get drastically reduced if not thrown out completely eventually. It is appaling to me they are suing him for 9.6 m which he never saw a penny of!
