There seems to be some validity in this rumor now? Juventus are aslo linked but Spurs have more money and the better league, so this is maybe a possibility. He was never getting a game at Bayern and they still seem keen to bring in Gomez. I think it would be a great signing for Spurs! Lukas is young and Santa Cruz couldn't get a game at Bayern either and had a great year for Blackburn.

Will it happen? Is it good business?

Frankly I can't understand why we aren't going after defenders but as I said in another thread apparently the 5-4 scoreline will be back in play alot this year lol

If you get him he will be as influential to you as Ronaldo is to Man U but i cant see him joining Tottenham over the big two really.

Would be nice though as i think Tottenham are the team to look at for going places!

From what I have seen of Podolski he's a good young talented player with an eye for the goal but the one thing about him that does bother me is his temperament.
Of the games I have seen particularly the Croatia game he does appear to have a petulant streak in him. Saying that though he would be welcome at Stoke any time tongue

^ I can see what you are saying. He really has never had a great goalscoring record at club level, he has always been better for Germany for some reason? He does seem to put in an honest contribution from what I have seen of him and he can get better, so I would love to give him a shot. Mike I don't think the big 2 are interested in him right now, although after Euros who knows?

Hmmmm, that will be a great buy by Spurs, he is young and very talented, and is one of my favourite German players (behind Ballack), he would be brilliant for your lads. . .but does this man that Berbatov is going? Or has he like gone already and iam weeks behind?

But yeah, top quality buy that would be.

^ Berbatov is still a yid for the moment. Thing is I don't think a move is imminent as people thought originally. As it is that would leave us with only 2 strikers, so even if we get a Podolski that doesn't mean Berba is gone either. Word is 25-30m is the price tag which is set and frankly there isn't a huge market (if any at all) for 27 year old moddy strikers at that price
