School Friends...This question is aimed at the members of DL that have left school/college/Uni…
How many of your friends from school/college/Uni are you still in touch with? By in touch I mean talk to/communicate with on an arranged basis and not just bump in to in the pub on Christmas/New Years Eve. How many of these have you regained touch with through Facebook/Myspace?
I’m still in touch with a large group of my friends from school and see them on a regular basis (by large I mean about 25/30 people) which is quite an achievement, especially as I no longer live in the same place as where I went to school, as when I bumped into an old friend a few weeks ago from school they asked if I still saw anyone they were astounded when I reeled off the large name of people when they said that they aren’t in touch with anyone.
From Uni I’m still in touch with a core group of friends who I was in the swimming team with and lived with at some point or other.
The Facebook question is thanks to that website I’m now back in touch with more old school, college and uni friends on an ad-hoc message basis (not including the spamming that goes on) and have even met up with a few groups.
I was just wondering if it was just me and if anyone else has experienced similar things.

The only one of my schoolfriends that I am still in touch with is my best mate Shorty. We text each other alot, and phone occasionally. Since she lives 80 miles away we rarely get to see each other anymore, but even if we don't talk for ages, as soon as we do it's like we've only just said goodbye. Does that make sense?

^I'm not in touch with any of my school friends, a lot of them have moved out of the area or just lost touch!

Since I have moved back to the hometown I went to school in i am touch with a number of friends from my childhood days. It seems wherever I go now I run into an acquantaince at least. My core group of friends have all went to school with me or lived in the area I grew up.
As for my college (uni) friends I have lost touch with just about all of them. It was a gradual thing but all of them live all over the place so it just got too hard to keep up with everybody and I just became lazy in contacting them. Shame too because some of my old frat brothers I really do miss and have no way of getting in touch with them. I am not into the myspace, facebook thing and don't think i ever will be to be honest.

I have 3 close friends and I wasn't at school with any of them, I've met them at various stages of my life since then. I don't socialise with anyone that I went to school with. I did get messaged by a girl I used to be at school with via Facebook a couple of weeks ago which was good though.

I don't have any friends from school that I see now. I didn't really hang out with my school friends as I lived quite a way from the school (the only catholic school in Washington).
I do to this day have all of my friends that I had during my school days though! I just never went to School with them, they all went to the local comp.

I've fallen out of contact with a lot of school friends, which is surprising seeing as it's not even been 3 years since I've left! I think taking a gap year meant I went my own way.
I'm still in contact with my best friend from school, and have a few on MSN but I don't talk to them on a regular basis, but when I do we chat for ages, then I have loads added on facebook, but I don't use that now. I would say I have 60% of the people from my year as friends on facebook.
