Sugababe's boyfriend recovering from horror attack.I was reading about this over Christmas - it sounds like a horrific attack. I wonder what the full story is here - was it provoked, or just random?

The former tree surgeon, 25, was left with huge gashes in his skull, right leg and hand, while his left arm and right thumb were almost severed.
'Amelle's been my rock throughout this ordeal - I love her more than ever,' he says.
Freddie was attacked in Aldershot, Hants after being followed by an unknown assailant.
'Something told me to look over my shoulder,' he tells the News Of The World from his hospital bed. 'I saw a silver blade flash past my eyes and on to my elbow.
'I looked down and saw my arm had almost been cut in half—I could see where the bones and tendons had been severed.'
The attacker continued to slash at Freddie who slipped on his own blood as he tried to run away. The blade kept coming, as he tried to dodge the blows.
'It was like a knife through butter,' he says. 'I feared it was going to behead me.
'Several times I saw the blade crash into the ground, just millimetres from my face.'
A woman's screams made the attacker flee and fuelled by adrenalin, Freddie - who had lost 4 pints of blood in multiple injuries - dragged himself to a nearby pub and was taken to Frimley Park Hospital where surgeons operated for 6 hours on Christmas Day.
He will take up to 2 years to recover. |

^I hadn't read the full story but that is horrific, he is lucky to be alive. The thing is the nut that did it is still on the loose, lets hope they catch him pronto!

^ Apparently after the person did it, they rang his mother to tell her to call an ambulance for her son 'or he is going to die'. Now, this was News of the World, but they had direct quotes. This would suggest that he knew his attacker. Sounds like it was a really awful attack in any case.

What an absolutely hideous thing to happen. And the fact that appears to be someone he knew/knew him makes it all the more scary.
