That boy Ronaldo, is doing my head in!

Never thought id say that but it's driving me nuts the whole story. He is clearly not commited so he might as well go. It's not the end of the world and we arent a team who will go backwards because 3 of our 4 defenders were in the team of the season(evra im not too sure but defintly in the pundits), Hargreaves and Carrick were amazing, Tevez tbh im not a fan of and Rooney had so many assists. If Chelski loose Drogba and Lampard i think it's balanced, yes we won't have a 42 goalscorer but we will share the goals a lot more and maybe Fergie will go for a striker who scores about time aswell. Arsenal are going to loose Helb and Liverpool aren't buying someone who will be any better than those who have left so i think it will be a better title race and as for United, yes Ronaldo will be a huge loss but the money we will get for him, we could get quresma, hunterlarr,Robinao(part deal).

I'm not saying i want him to go, but if he wanted to stay why hasn't he said it, the longer the speculation the more likely he is to go. Id rather keep a player who wants to stay rather than someone who wants to go even if he is simply the best. If the papers are right, he is showing a lack of respect to Fergie which is suicidale, just can't see him staying now.

As far as Madrid, they are a disgrace the way they act in transfers and they think were there friends? Hell no!

^ Madrid are a disgrace!  I've been saying this for years over the way they've hounded Milan for Kaka.

I'm not quite sure what to believe as regards Ronaldo tbh - him saying he wants to go to Real etc could all just be pure gossip.  I don't think he'll leave Utd this Summer though.  Sandz, I'm surprised you don't like Tevez.  I think he's been great this season.  I'd love to have him on any of my teams!

He has been great this season, but mainly when Rooney isn't in the side. He comes alive later in the matches when most of his goals are scored but him and Rooney had a good spell but if they are our front 2 next season than i would be worried, they do the same job! I think Tevez is a Solskjear, he makes a better impact of the bench so if we signed an out an out striker, he can come on for Rooney for a rest of come on to the change the game but please don't start with Rooney. It's a Gerrard and Lampard at time, so frustrating yet the manger will pick them, even though Capello might have changed that.

^ Sandz good to see you again!  wink

Anywys as for Ronaldo and this story as I said on another forum it is the case of two of the biggest attention whores getting their kicks, MAdrid and ROnaldo. Real MAdrid is a disgrace name a top player in Europe that they haven't been linked with while they were under contract. It is so unprofessional and I think they just like getting their name in amongst big players to show they are the biggest club in the world. (this is what THEY think at least)

Ronaldo loves the spotlight so I think he is saying enough/not saying enough to keep this story going. In the end I think United need him alot more than they think though and I also think he knows it is the best place for him now. Let's be honest United probably win nothing without him this year and replacing 40 goals and 15 assists is not easy to do. Especially for United. They have no real finishers at striker and would need to buy a real poacher. Won't be easy to find. Also Robinho may have the tricks but he isn't half the player of Ronaldo so that swap you are losing alot.

Yeah, spot on.

Ronaldo is just such a big head.  I'm not a United fan, but he's showing Alex Ferguson and the rest of his teammates such a lack of respect right now.  He's under contract anyway, so I don't really see him going anywhere.

According to the latest reports, Ronaldo will do 'whatever it takes' to leave United.

Quote:
Cristiano Ronaldo will do 'whatever it takes' to leave Manchester United for Real Madrid this summer, according to reports.

The Times reports that the Manchester United winger has told close friends he is planning to leave Old Trafford, telling them he is prepared to do 'whatever it takes'.

Reports in Spain yesterday suggested Madrid officials were getting ready to launch a formal bid for the player, which could also involve Robinho signing for United in a part-swap deal.

Even if a bid is launched, United are under no obligation to sell a player who recently signed a new five-year deal.

But if Ronaldo is desperate to leave, he could submit a formal transfer request of his own or refuse to turn up to pre-season training.

He is expected to release another statement regarding his future once Portugal's European Championship ends.

Looks like Germany is getting Portugal at just the right time. How can the team stay focused with all of this outside drama. Half the team is speculating on their club future for next season, then Scolari what a mess!
