Transfer rumors, who do you want?Well i hope this is going to be a great month for transfers, so who do you want and who have you been linked with? Also, who has been linked away from your club, where have the been linked with.
Manutd INS:
Berbatov has been rumoured as always but if a deal was to happen it would probably involve Saha going the other way. Berbatov is very talented but his consistancy and attitude worries me. He is a striker who would go well with Rooney and it would prove competition which we probably need upfront.
I'm probably thinking of Big brother but we been linked with Hutton, isit Anthony Hutton? I know it's someone beggining with A Hutton to replace Brown. I don't know anything about him but i guess any addition is a good one.
Manchester United are lining up a £10m bid for Porto defender Jose Bosingwa, with manager Sir Alex Ferguson viewing him as the long-term successor to Gary Neville at right-back.
Out:
Brown - He can go tbh, is he doesn't want to sign a new contract we should sell him now and get money for him, the only problem is we need a RB urgently then i mean i'm not keen on O'shea playing there, maybe we could chance Simpson?
Fletcher is rumored to be going on loan to either Sunderland or Birmingham not sure who, he is a good midfielder but i don't think we need him this season with Hargreaves,Carrick,Anderson even Giggs could cover CM.
|
Norton
|
Out:
- Voronin: Got him on a free so that's ok but hasn't lived up to his expectations. No need for him.
- Sissoko: Since his eye injury he hasn't been who he was in his first season. Juventus are interested in him, so better to cash in on jhim now than later. Plus Alonso, Mascherano and Gerrard in CM so can't see him trying to break into the first 11.
In:
- Anelka: Former Liverpool player. Will adapt to Liverpool's style of play very quickly and just what we need with Torres.
- A centre-back urgently. Linked with Ujfasli (sp.) but he isn't interested in a january move. Kakha Kaladze would be a good addition and we've been linked with him too.

Norton, i heard Real Madrid want Alonso and they might offer Heinze and Baptista, what you think of that?

I'm hoping that we seal a permanent switch for Carson in Jan and a striker, maybe Defoe.
A right back is a must for us and I will be upset if January doesn't bear fruit in that position.

I'd never want to see Alonso leave. He has been one of Rafa's super-signings and blends in well with Gerrard in the middle.
Baptista isn't Liverpool's type of player so i doubt Rafa would ever consider him but Heinze would always be welcome to Anfield

In-
Hyppia-Please, Please, Please. He will sort out our awful backline.
King-Has struggled at Watford this season and is a poor player. Hope he doesnt come.
Out-
Kuqi-Well he hasent done much in his loan spell.
Baird-No way good enough. Worst Fulham player ever.

ins-
Been rumoured to be after Matty Taylor from Pompey, i think he is a brilliant player, and can sort out our left side, with him and Gardner bothskilled at left mid and left back ,should be an interesting combination.
Alberto Rodriguez, apparently costing around 6 million, Aston villa also want him, i have never heard of him, but if o'neill wants him then he must be good, plus i have heard he is a strong centre back, and with o'brien, that is a formiddable central defence, but i am probably getting confused !!!
OUT
Well, i would have said Nicky Hunt couple of months ago, but he seemes to have sorted himself out and his final balls are pretty good for a right back.
Megson, i know he is getting results, but our new players, Wilhelmsson and Braatan, who are both quality players, and can add the service that Anelka and Diouf really need HE DOESNT PLAY THEM !!!! (but megson is better than i originally thaught he would be)

It looks like Chelsea might be making a big offer for Berbatov - 26 million according to reports today.

You can have Heinze, i really don't rate him especially after his strop i would take Evra everyday. I think he had his best season with us now Real wouldn't mind letting him go. Jimmyq, you've been linked a lot with Hoyte in the past, what do you think of him?

for man utd, i don't think we need a lot but a striker would probably help us. We need the type that acts as a target man and scores goals since rooney and tevez often play as second strikers and saha is not setting the world alight. I suppose i'd be happy with berbatov, i haven't seen that much of him really but he seems a decent player in highlights on MOTD if occasionally casual and lazy. The other name we are always linked with is anelka but i doubt we would buy him, i don't much like his attitude, or his list of previous clubs. I don't think we'll end up buying anyone up front unless chelsea start the bidding for berbatov and then we might end up joining in
Some cover at full back wouldn't hurt either since neville has been out for ages, and brown may be moving on soon. I've heard Lahm among others but its not really a position we should be spending tons of money on, the scottish guy Hutton seems a cheaper option and looks decent

Out - possibly quite a few, but I hope not
Howard has gone, initially I was very downbeat as even though he hasnt been firing he sets up a lot, but Ive heard that the fee is muite a bit over 1million, in which case perhaps it was a good deal.
possible outs - Barnes (west ham, probably about 5mil)
In
Emanuel Villa - an argentinian striker aged 25, is all I know of him really, but its meant to be almost a done deal unless he fails a medical. Hopefully a bit of flair. I wish it was David Villa.
dreams
well theres no word of us buying anyone else, so these are the players we could relaistically get who I want.
Sami Hyppia - we need a centre half, who is quality, he probably wont come since he wont go that low, but there was a bit of word weeks ago.
a flair midfielder - we need one so badly.

Yeah, i saw this, but then i read on and he plays for a mexican team that just got relegeated from the mexican first division, so i dont know how good he will be, but if Jewell has spotted him then he must be pretty good.

I heard Ben Haim could be availble for 2 million, he could do Derby a lot of good if he's willing to move to you but i'm sure many other teams will be interested.
Is Alan Hutton any good is anyone knows? He rejected a move to spurs after Rangers accepted an 8 million bid but apparntly we are linked with him and i'm sure we would meet the 8 million price and he probably would think about it i mean he will get first team because if we get him we should sell Brown for about 5 million. I just heard Newcastle have made a bid for Brown, if we do get Hutton he can go.
Johnny Evans has gone onloan to Sunderland, i think it will do him good after the recent rumors about him.
Manchester United have slapped a £75m valuation on Cristiano Ronaldo in a bid to ward off the unwanted attentions of Spanish giants Real Madrid. He isn't worth that much but hopefully we wont get no more rumors about it now.
Hot property Dimitar Berbatov will cost at least a British transfer record £35m if any of his suitors - Manchester United or Chelsea - are to prise the forward away from Spurs. That is too much but tbh i don't care about the price it isn't my personal money and if he does the business i guess it wouldn't be too bad.
Tom, what do you think of this. Blackburn's Robbie Savage tops Derby manager Paul Jewell's transfer window wishlist. Other targets include Savage's team-mate Jason Roberts, along with Crystal Palace midfielder Ben Watson, Tottenham's Hossam Ghaly and former Newcastle star Lauren Robert.

Sorry for the double post but Derby have signed Danny Mills on loan until the rest of the season.

In - Definitely need a center back or two at this point just for cover we have Zokora playing there for a number of games. Kaboul was finally starting to play well and now he has a knock as well. An attacking midfielder would be nice but that is probably more an issue to address in the summer with more talented players on the market. I thought Boateng or Taarabt could fill the role but Boateng is more defensive than he played at Hertha and more suitd to holding role. Taarabt is just too young and not ready.
Out - Berbatov. I have tussled with this decision but actually I wouldn't be upset to see him go. He is very streaky, moody and the constant rumors have to affect the team. I would prefer to sell him out of the PL but if we get a swap deal for Saha and cash I would be pleased with that. Routledge seems excess goods and obviously Ghaly if anyone wants him for 5 pounds or so

Apparently, Hodgson is set to sign Jan Koller on loan until the end of the season. Its either him or Marlon King for £5 Million so Id much rather Koller come in but I just dont think he has the legs anymore.

^ Good point Tom, you probably don't want big fees which will hurt you financially assuming relegation
|
Haywood
|
exactly, although we do have a bit of money, we will have less next season, so we wont be able to keep on some players that demand high fees like Ravanelli did to us last time we went down. Loans with a view to sign next season are best. We dont want players that want clauses in their contract that allow them to leave if/when we go down.

No! Now Ramos has told Defoe he can seek a transfer. Disaster! What if Berbatov goes? Left with Bent and Keane, I am not impressed. He must be lining up a bid for Kanoute I suppose?

Looks like Martin Skrtel is on his way to Anfield. Haven't heard of him let alone seen him play but seeing that he's only 23 and looks set to be the most expensive defender in Liverpool's history i'll assume he has a bright future.
|
sandz
|
Norton, i think he will be decent i don't know him but Liverpool really do need a CB. Brian isn't going to like this one
Tottenham manager Juande Ramos is set to axe eight players - keeper Paul Robinson, Jermain Defoe, Pascal Chimbonda, Lee Young-Pyo, Anthony Gardner(heard Birmingam), Paul Stalteri, Wayne Routledge and Hossam Ghaly(Derby i hear)
|
clevelandspur
|
^ I guess Ramos wants his own players in there. The ones I have a problem with are Defoe and Lee. Defoe has been a great professional and all he does is score goals when he is called upon. What more can he do? Lee has been the most consistent defender on the squad, which isn't saying much I guess but with Bale out cover is still needed.
Chimbonda can go for all I am concerned. Too often he thinks he is a midfielder and is caught out of position. He has not had a good year.

^^^Defoe's contract runs out in the summer I think, and I believe he turned down an offer of a new contract before Ramos came

Sorry for double post but Chelsea get Anelka for 15 mill. Probably a fair price again shocking we payed 3 mill more for Darren Bent DOH!
Spurs favorite son Hossam Ghaly joins Derby for the rest of the season with Savage and Villa. It finally appears Derby is getting some class but is it a case of too little too late?

And that's Martin Skrtel at Anfield now...for 6 million.
Also looks like Sissoko is on his way out for 10 million which is great buisness by Rafa. Bought for 5.5 million, got the best out of him and now off he goes for nearly double the price...would miss him but he didn't do enough to convert the bag of potentional he had ...and i blame the eye injury.

Anelka has gone then, 15million ??? Nothing !!!!
Paves the way for Another big striker to come to the reebok, that is if Phil Gartside does not pocket the money and run away like normal. Anyway, there has been the likes of Saviola and Gurjohnson been mentioned.
Gudjohnson will not come back just yet, i think he will when he gets older and not as good, as we started his career off again.
But saviola could be a good buy, Quality striker, doesnt get into the barca team, not a top, world class player anymore, but cannot lose the class he has completely !!!
|
AlexH
|
I can only see Bolton getting Saviola on loan, id be a bit suprised if he joins them permenantly.
This Jens Lehmann saga is annoying-he has said he has rejected a move to Dortmund but you just get the feeling he will leave.
Watford turned down £4 Million for Marlon King. Two words-Thank God!
|
stevebwfc
|
^ Yeah that is a problem, with the current situation i doubt any top strikers will want to join us, i would actually use that cash to finalise a deal with liverpool to sign Danny Guthrie, he has been a revelation in our club, and to be honest gets in our first team every week, but will not get into the starting XI for liverpool at all if he goes back, with Alonso, Gerrard, Lucas, Mascherano !!!
|

Derby have let skipper Oakley go for 500,000 that was quite shocking i thought he was doing well tbh. I guess Savage and Ghalys arrivals kind of forced him to make the decision to leave. I think Derby might have a small chance if they win today and the others around drop points. Birmingham have Arsenal and Chelsea, great chance for Derby to close 6 points from them it just depends on others now i think.
We aren't buying anyone even though we NEED a STRIKER. Id even have ago for Defoe even though i don't like him anymore because he ran off with Danielle, dating every footballer, Lloyd.

From what i've seen from him for the national team, he looks a good signing.
|

^ Don't get me wrong I think it is a bargain for his potential. Only thing is his consistency has been a problem and I think if he can get off to a flyer than he could do great things. I always felt he didn't play for our national team enough in major games so I think very highly of him.

Sunderland have signed 4 players so far and Keane is looking for another one or two.
The are all pretty uninspiring in my opinion so far apart from Jonny Evans who is a class act (at least on the pitch).
We have also signed Bardsley a right back from Manure, don't know a lot about him.
Rade Prica a Swedish centre forward. 27 and 6.4ft, He looks like a hard man and with Kenwyn Jones we will have the most intimidating front two in the Premiership if nothing else.
The other dude is an obscure young French central defender called M'Voto who is another 6 footer but struggled to break into the PSG 1st team.
Not great really but we did need to strengthen our defence.

Woodgate will be signing offically tommrow morning 3 and a half year deal after passing his medical. I'm a bit shocked Spurs have gone for him, he is slightly injury prone but i guess he is needed now Dawson is suspended too. Gilberto is also signing for Spurs tommrow, i beleive he is a defender.

This Woodgate affair has turned into a fiasco. I liked Keegan's quote regarding Woodgate coming to Newcastle
"Tottenham can offer him the chance to play in a cup final, they are
in Europe - and the only way we're going to get into Europe is if we get on a ferry."
Still reports over Hutton and Gilberto very curious over how this plays out and if Chimbonda ends up staying.
