Manchester City are favourites to sign Barcelona forward Ronaldinho, according to the Spanish club's president.

......according to bbc.co.uk

I'm not sure that he would be the right move for Man City as I think that £25.5m could be spent better on a few good players.  One star doesn't make a team

I hope that Man City do sign him, as I really don't want Milan to go wasting all that money on him.  It could be better spent elsewhere.

I'm sick of Milan buying players who are past their best.

I can see Man C paying massive bucks to get him but it will be beneficial for them as more players will flock to City to play with him!

^I think he will attract a higher caliber of players for City.

But you have to question Ronaldinho's current state of mind. The last 2 seasons suggest to me he has lost his interest or love of football and is too rich to care. From his point of view picking Man C as his next team is further proof he doesn't give a fook and just wants more cash.

It's sad really he is very talented but doesn't have the right mentality.

Looks like Milan have got him.

I really hope this isn't going to be another big waste of money ala Ronaldo.  To me, Ronaldinho seems more interested in the party lifestyle than the football!

Quote:
The bold pursuit of Ronaldinho finally came to an end for Manchester City last night when the Brazilian agreed to join AC Milan in a transfer worth up to £19.8million.

The deal was struck at around 10pm after Ronaldinho had reacted angrily earlier in the day to City's attempt to structure his vast salary in a pay-as-you-play deal.

City wanted to withhold at least 50 per cent of his staggering £200,000-aweek wage demands based on his fitness, appearances, goals, commercial activities and their position in the Barclays Premier League.

It's a gamble for Milan that's for sure.
Maybe the new challenge will bring out the old Ronaldinho.
Ancelotti will certainly be on his back if he doesn't produce.

Ancelloti makes some pretty suspect signings in my opinion.  Is it even him though?  I don't really know if he has 100% say in these things at Milan.  I have a feeling Galliani is the one who's really in charge.

^ I don't get the Ronaldinho signing at all. Like yall have mentioned he is more interested in clubs these days and for whatever reason this seems to happen to all Brazilian stars when they get in their late 20's.

More importantly where will he fit? With Kaka and Pirlo that is all the creativity you need really. There were other areas that needed strengthening more like CB, GK or a striker
